Raised in Las Vegas and now settled in Washington State with my amazing wife, Roxanne, I draw inspiration from both the rugged natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest and the life we’ve built together. Roxanne has become a huge driving force behind the design side of my work, constantly pushing ideas further and helping shape the creative direction of the studio.

Before woodworking, I spent 12 years serving in the United States Navy, an experience that shaped the way I approach craftsmanship today with patience, precision, and respect for work built to last.

After leaving the military, I dedicated myself fully to learning the craft, spending six months studying traditional woodworking in Washington State under respected furniture makers and craftsmen. That time deepened my appreciation for thoughtful design, strong construction, and creating pieces with real permanence and character.

Today, my work focuses on furniture, lighting, and sculptural woodworking built from carefully selected hardwoods using a hands-on process from start to finish. I’m drawn to honest materials, timeless forms, and pieces that feel personal — work that becomes part of a home and grows more meaningful with age.

Back Aft Studio exists somewhere between fine furniture and functional art. Every piece is built with the belief that good design should feel lived with, lasting, and deeply human.
